'Nother one for the day

Since my last post didn't have much news, I thought I'd make a new one. And I'm really bored this weekend because I was supposed to get a new movie in the mail from Netflix today, and nothing showed up. Grr.

So like the previous post noted, Aaron got his first batch of beer bottled today. That's pretty cool, and I'm interested to see how it turns out. I don't like beer and I won't try it, because it's a pale ale, and any beer I've REMOTELY thought was slightly drinkable is something really dark and thick, not a pale beer.

He's working on some bread and oatmeal raisin cookies right now. In the mood to bake and make, I suppose. I've been hanging out at the computer most of the day, except for the morning that we spent cleaning the apartment because it got totally trashed over the week.

Last night, one of our friends who used to live in the Cities, but moved back home for a semester, moved back in town. His folks were there to help cart all the stuff from South Dakota back to Minneapolis, so we all went out for dinner last night at Old Chicagos. I had the guacamole burger with bacon. Super yummy, but messy.

Odin started doing something weird today - he just wandered into his Bad Kitty Cage, laid down, and hung out for a while. All on his own. And he wasn't even being bad. Then he came and snuggled with me for a bit, then went back in his cage to chill. What a weirdo. We re-opened the hole in the bottom of his toilet trainer today - he's mad because it's broken again. The hole is smaller this time than last time, by about half, because we covered half of it with cardboard. Hopefully this will ease him into the process. Or something. Giving him his medicine is getting a little easier, he doesn't struggle as much, but he still hates it just as much.

Aaron's back is better than last weekend, but only because he has his steroids and muscle relaxers to numb the pain. He still gets sore if he stands too long, or is sitting weird. Hopefully it will go away on its own soon.

Tonight we are going over to some friends' house for dinner - they're making a pot roast, and we're going to bring some cookies that are in the oven right now. Mmm, mmm, good!
